Ang Thong Marine Park Sea Kayaking Guide

Sea caves, dramatic limestone cliffs, hidden inlets — kayaking at Ang Thong is one of the best ways to experience the park. Here's everything you need to know before you paddle.

Why Kayak at Ang Thong?

The park's network of sea caves, granite boulder passages and hidden coastlines simply can't be reached on foot or from a tour boat. Kayaking takes you into spaces most visitors never see, making it one of the most memorable elements of any Ang Thong day trip — even for complete beginners.

  • Paddle through sea caves and dramatic granite boulder arches
  • Access hidden beaches and inlets unreachable by larger boats
  • Exclusive route to Tum Rang Island (Highsea Tour only)
  • No kayaking experience needed — guides escort you throughout
  • Two-person sit-on-top kayaks provided (stable, easy to use)

    Tum Rang Island Route (Exclusive)

An exclusive route only available through Highsea Tour. Paddle through dramatic granite boulders and magical sea caves to reach Tum Rang island. Guides accompany the whole way.

    🌊

Coastline Paddle — Koh Mae Ko

The most common kayaking route — along the coastline of Koh Mae Ko next to towering limestone cliffs. Available on most tours. Calm, sheltered waters. Stunning scenery.

    🗺

    Wua Talap Island Inlets

Some tours include kayaking around the central island (Koh Wua Ta Lap) with access to small inlets not accessible on foot. Beautiful and quiet.

    Sea Cave Entry

On private charters or specialist tours, guides lead you into sea caves at low tide. An extraordinary experience — low headroom required, but totally safe with guide instruction.

What Skill Level Do You Need?

Absolute beginners are completely fine. The sit-on-top kayaks used on group tours are stable and easy to manage. You'll be given a 5–10 minute tutorial and briefing before entering the water, and guides paddle alongside the whole time.

    If You Can't Swim

You don't need to be a strong swimmer to kayak — you'll be wearing a life jacket throughout. However, if you're nervous in open water, tell your guide before departure so they can keep you close.
